The Association exists to protect, preserve and promote the Ridgway Grundy Memorial Park in Lymm. The Park is a beautiful, tranquil and restful place close to the centre of the village which was given by benefactors for the people of Lymm, in perpetuity. The four main aims of the Association are:

- To protect, promote and preserve the Park in perpetuity as a resource for the people of Lymm.
- To bring together those sharing a common interest in Ridgway Grundy Park, Lymm. These interests may include the horticultural, arboricultural, ecological, educational and leisure aspects of the Park.
- To enhance the Park's landscape and grounds as an attractive and healthy environment for people and wild life.
- To consult, advise and act in collaboration with Lymm Parish Council and Warrington Borough Council to achieve these objectives, making representations where necessary to these and other statutory authorities regarding the Park.
